Problems configuring Reporting Service (Express Edt.)

Hello there.

First: The problems have their orinin in ExpressEdt.Installation of RS. The DefaultInstallation did not SetUp the ReportingServices, just installed the files. So I had to configure the ReportingServices on my own. I used the "Reporting Services Configuration Manager".

Now I've got some problems configuring the reporting services. First problems are the virtual directories.
I've tried some different users for authentification. I used a local user with lower rights, an admin-user, Network Service and IUSR_MachineName for directory security. Tried to use WindowsAuthentification and AnonymousAcces.
The AppPool-Identity runs with NeworkService rights.
When I browse the page i get an "You are not authorized to view this page..."-error.
The mentioned users have rights on the local folders and are in IIS_WPG-Group.
Whats the problem here?

Second thing I have to tell is that in "RS Config Manager" the "Initialization"-tab has a (X), so i cant get into this program-part.

Please help me....

publishing the website I put an IP-adress in and made some host

header-entries. After deleting the host headers ReportManager und

ReportServer are working fine.

Whats the problem using RS and HostHeaders?
How do I config them right?
I get the error: "HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials"

Credentials AppPool: "Network Service"
Credential WebSite: Windows Auth.
Credential VirtDirect.: Windows Auth.

As Credential i us a local user. This user is in Adminstrator group.

Problems configuring proxy account

Hi, at this moment I have a user that is member of sysadmin in a msde. I
need to remove this user from this group but the user use the
xp_cmdshell.
I configured the proxy account on this intance with a user that is
domain admin and also grant the exec permissions on the xp_cmdshell
extended store procedure, and when I execute a simple query:
exec master.dbo.xp_cmdshell 'dir c:'
returns this error message:
Msg 50001, Level 1, State 50001
xpsql.cpp: Error 1813 from CreateProcessAsUser on line 636
I already restart de sqlserveragent service, but it doesnt work.
Do someone know what could be the reason.

It seems like the service account for the SQL Server service lacks some of the windows Privileges
needed. Search for below in Books Online and you will find what those are:

|||Domain admin isn't enough. You need to make sure it has privileges like "Replace a Process Level
Token" and the other stuff mentioned in Books Online.

Problems Configuring HTTP Access to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Serveices on Windows XP

I tried to setup HTTP access to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services on Windows XP, based on the technet article of the same name.

On setting up the virtual directory properties step, I could not add the msmdpump.dll in the Add/Edit Application Extension Mapping as the OK button is greyed out. What needs to be done to enable adding msmdpump.dll?

Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure that ".dll" is in the extension box (don't forget the period). And if the path to msmdpump.dll has an ellipse in the middle of it (...) after you browse to it and select it, click in the path text. The ellipse will go away and the ok button will become active. I had the same problem...|||

Problems configuring Execution Log Reports

I receive the following error:
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Get

Cannot create a connection to data source 'RSExecutionLog'.
(rsErrorOpeningConnection) Get Online Help
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'.
My ReportServer DB is separate from my ReportServer IIS boxes, I'm trying to
use Windows NT Integrated Security to access the Execution Log. I'm a Local
Admin of both servers but still receive the error.
Am I dealing with a permissions hop issue? Any suggestions would help.
DavidYes. Use stored credentials in the shared data source for the reports
(another slightly more complex option would be to use Kerberos delegation)
